Shane Monopoli (Photographer and Owner of Exclusive Photography) pioneered the glamour photography business and has successfully run Exclusive Photography for the past 25 years, operating out of Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth.

He regularly features on TV and is a consistent APPA/AIPP award winner.

Mark Galer (Adobe Ambassador, Photographer, Educator and Author), has been a commercial photographer for 30 years and is widely acknowledged as a Photoshop Guru.

He has been a photography educator for the past 20 years, and is currently the program Director at RMIT University, Melbourne.

His Photoshop books (through Focal Press) are worldwide best sellers.

This portrait workshop is aimed at photographic enthusiasts and establishing professionals and will deliver the essential skills for creating award-winning portrait photographs.

This will be an intimate workshop where every attendee has ample opportunity to ask questions and gain feedback. The workshop will provide feedback for attendees beyond the scheduled dates so that attendees can replay demos, refer to supporting advice and ask questions for a limited period of time via an accompanying website and forum.

Shane Monopoli

Shane shares his wealth of experience and discusses the importance of establishing rapport with the sitter, creating effective lighting set ups and poses. The lighting demonstrations will include Glamour and High & Low Key lighting and will be simultaneously recorded and projected during the seminar - a DVD of the demonstration will be given to each attendee.

During the demos Shane will provide tips & techniques for shooting images that can easily be composited with alternative backgrounds in Photoshop to create award-winning images.

Shane will also share his secrets for running a successful studio.

Mark Galer

Mark demonstrates the essential skills for implementing an efficient Raw workflow using the latest hardware and software solutions. He will cover portrait-retouching techniques and demonstrate high- and low-key editing techniques designed to achieve maximum detail and quality.

Mark will also demonstrate how photographers can inject their images with creative flair using quick and easy compositing techniques for introducing dramatic or artistic backgrounds.

Attendees are given a DVD that includes an essential skills 'action-pack' to help automate the processes that Mark has demonstrated and videos of all of the tutorials covered during the workshop.
